2013 Organising Committee Applications – OPEN

Each year the Technology Club and the Media Club come together to host the most tweeted about event of the year - The LBS Tech Media Summit. This is your chance to get involved!

The Summit attracts the brightest stars from tech and media – last year our keynotes were Chris Maples (UK Spotify MD), and Mark Read (CEO of WPP Digital). It is a great opportunity for students to mix, debate and network with the best in the industry from companies such as Facebook, Google, Songkick, Zynga, Playfish, Sky, BBC, Accel Partners, BCG, Deloitte, CNN and a host of startups.

Do you want to develop your network in tech and media, build and be part of a great team, understand forces shaping the industry, have something phenomenal to talk about on your CV and support the LBS brand? Yes – then apply for a role on the Summit Organising Committee – applications are now OPEN for students from all LBS programmes.  The tentative date for the Summit is Friday, 8 March 2013.

Role opportunities are:
2 x Co-chairs: the head honchos to run the show (there is a third Chair who is a MBA 2013);
4 x Panel organisers: people to network and find our great speakers;
2 x Sponsorship: people to find us awesome companies who want to give us money and other free stuff;
2 x Marketing/Sales: these people are going to spread the word, build the buzz, and instil the greatest FOMO you’ve ever heard;
2 x Logistics: the heroes who make it a success coordinating all the different moving parts;
1 x Treasurer: the person manages the budget, sets pricing and lays it all out for the rest of the team.

To apply, please send an email to lbstechmediasummit@gmail.com together with:
- your CV;
- a short paragraph on ‘Why you would be a good candidate for the role’; and
- another short paragraph on ‘What is one panel topic you would like to see at the Summit and why’

Application deadline is midnight Sunday, 7th October, 2012.

We look forward to welcoming you onto the team!
